Nigerian Footballer Slumps, Dies While Training

Nigerian football player Michael Umanyika, is dead. 

According to All Nigeria Soccer, he died on Monday while training with Azerbaijani First Division club, Zaqatala PFK.

Reports say he suddenly stopped and fell during a training session and all efforts to revive him proved futile. 

Monday’s training was his first with Zaqatala PFK after returning from vacation in Nigeria. He joined Zagatala PFK last season and made 20 appearances for the club.
