Supreme Court Throws out suit to stop Amaechi’s N96bn alleged fraud probe

The Supreme Court on Friday threw out a suit seeking to stop the probe of a N96 billion fraud allegedly involving the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, during his time as the Rivers State Governor.

A five-man panel of Justices of the Supreme Court held that there was no justification to stop the probe of Amaechi.

Amaechi, who resigned as Transport Minister of the All Progressives Congress, is a presidential aspirant of the ruling party.

APC is expected to hold its convention this weekend at which its presidential candidate will be picked.
