As part of the agreement reached with defecting governors, yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked nine ministers from his cabinet.
Those affected by the sack are:
Olugbenga Ashiru – Foreign Affairs
Ita Okon – Science and Technology
Ama Pepple – Housing and Urban Development
Hadiza Mailafia – Environment
Ruqayat Rufai – Education
Zainab Kunchi – Power,(state)
Buka Tijani – Agriculture (state)
Shamsudeen Usman – National Planning
Olusola Obadan – Defence(state)
President Jonathan announced the sack at Wednesday`s Federal Executive Council Meeting. He thanked the sacked minsters for their services and wished them luck in their future endeavors.
