Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is the new Emir of Kano

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the ousted governor of the central bank of Nigeria, has been appointed the new Emir of Kano. His replaces Ado Bayero, who passed on Friday.

Announcing his appointment, Sulieman Bichi, secretary to the kano state government, said,“The state government received their recommendations and Allah has conferred on Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former governor of the central bank, (the post of) the successor to the late emir.”
