The gale of appointments by President Goodluck Jonathan continued on Thursday with the appointment of Roli Bode-George, the wife of Chief Bode George, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the new Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Her appointment, which was announced by Dr. Reuben Abati, Jonathan’s spokesperson, follows the appointment of the former occupier of the seat, Olufemi Ajayi, as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) on Wednesday.
Mrs. Roli Bode-George was in 2011 first appointed by President Jonathan as a federal commissioner in the National Population Commission, NPC.
Her husband, who served a two year jail term for corruption, is currently a delegate at the National Conference.
