Mr. Laz Anyanwu, the director of protocol to the Imo State deputy governor, has been killed by his abductors, in whose custody he has been since Friday.
According to reports, the kidnappers stabbed him in several times in different parts of the body and then dumped his body at Orobo, in Mbaitolu Local Government Area of the state.
Anyanwu’s corpse was discovered on Monday.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Imo State Deputy Governor confirmed the tragedy but refrained from giving any other useful information.
