President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed security agencies to launch an intensive manhunt for those behind the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, which left about 30 people dead.
The President strongly condemned the assault, describing it as a barbaric and cowardly act of terror against innocent and defenseless citizens.
The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, claimed the lives of men, women, and children, while several houses were set on fire, leaving the community devastated.
Reacting to the tragedy, President Tinubu said those responsible for the killings and destruction would be brought to justice, stressing that no effort would be spared in restoring peace and security to the affected area.
He also extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, Governor Uba Sani, the Kaduna State Government, and the people of the state, assuring them of the Federal Government’s unwavering support.
“I have directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to swiftly track down the perpetrators, secure the release of abducted persons, and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.
Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s security architecture by providing security agencies with the necessary resources and enhancing efforts to dismantle criminal networks threatening the country’s peace and stability.
He also urged residents to support security operations by providing credible and timely intelligence that would enable authorities to respond quickly and prevent further attacks.
The President emphasized that his administration remains resolute in protecting lives and property and ensuring that those seeking to undermine the peace achieved in Kaduna State are held accountable.
